About Our Club

We are here to support our membership, their dogs, and their passions.

Our Story

Discover Our Journey So Far

Our club is meant for those who are passionate about upland bird hunting, walking field trials, cover dog trials, red setters, and pointing dogs in general
This club is open to all who hunt upland birds with their dogs, participate in field trials, and strive to further the sports of bird hunting and field trialing for those who handle their dogs from foot. Our members participate in quail trials, cover dog trials, Shoot To Retrieve trials, and upland game bird hunting with their dogs.

How Do We Operate?

Our club believes that networking and communicating with fellow walking bird dog enthusiasts is highly valuable to promoting our sport. Your membership in the club supports the publication of our quarterly newsletter, as well as supporting an online presence, and contributing to the goals of offering field trial opportunities.

What Do We Receive?

Membership in the ARSBDC includes a subscription to “Bird Dog Tales”, a quarterly publication of the club. With four issues each year (spring, summer, fall, winter), Bird Dog Tales is complete with great bird hunting stories, dogs and puppies for sale, field trial reports and awards, tips from pros, bird dog merchandise advertising, and much more.

The ARSBDC plans to sponsor a walking field trial event, with the goal of offering an open, all-breed championship. It is our preference that a future championship will be conducted on wild birds.

Where are we located?

Members are scattered throughout the United States, and likewise for club officers. Our annual membership meeting, as well as our Board of Directors meetings, all have the option of meeting virtually.
